Dean Cook

President

Mr. Cook is focused on the development and implementation of strategic initiatives designed to assist advisors in simplifying their business through service, technology, and product offering.  Before becoming President in 2012, Dean directed the firm's national marketing and sales operations since 2005.  Through his experience as a Registered Representative, Investment Advisor Representative and External Wholesaler, Dean has taken pride in adding unique insights to advisors as they build profitable advisory firms.

Phil Markgraf

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Markgraf is responsible for providing leadership to FTJ FundChoice’s Operations and Information Technology Divisions. His role creates synergy between business delivery and technology automation to deliver world-class solutions to our clients.  Phil joined FTJ FundChoice in 2007, bringing over 25 years of management experience using multiple technologies in the commercial insurance, health care, retail, and automotive industries.  Phil has enjoyed numerous achievements improving business profitability through efficient use of technology combined with business process improvements. Phil earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Science degree from Texas Tech University.

Scott Billups

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Billups is the Chief Financial Officer at FTJ FundChoice and is responsible for leading and managing its financial activities. He has over 20 years of financial and management experience in a wide variety of industries including media, consumer products, and aviation. Before joining FTJ FundChoice, Scott spent nine years at NBC Universal and GE Aviation, both subsidiaries of General Electric, where he served in numerous financial leadership roles. Scott earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting from Miami University and his M.B.A. from California State University, Los Angeles.

Gary Manguso

Vice President - Product Strategy

Mr. Manguso is the Vice President - Product Strategy at FTJ FundChoice and focuses on investment strategy development through increased advisor capabilities and consistency throughout their practices. Before becoming VP - Product Strategy in 2014, Gary led the sales and thought leadership efforts for a number of TAMPS. Since 1990, Gary has been an industry innovator, working with advisors to grow their businesses. Gary enjoys helping advisors provide their clients with an innovative and retention-based client experience.

Cory Kendall

National Sales Manager

Mr. Kendall is responsible for FTJ FundChoice’s Sales team of more than 20 professionals. In addition to helping drive sales strategy for the firm, he is the Regional Vice President for the Southwest Territory where he helps advisors in Southern California and Arizona build efficient and profitable advisory businesses. Cory has more than 15 years of experience in the investment management industry. Prior to joining FTJ FundChoice in 2008, he held various management and sales positions at Pacific Life, Allstate Financial and TD Ameritrade. Cory earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska. He has also attained the FINRA series 7, 24, 63 and 65 licenses. He enjoys golfing, spending time with his family and coaching his son’s sports teams in his spare time.

Michelle Rogers

Director of Internal Sales

Ms. Rogers is the Director of Internal Sales at FTJ FundChoice. She is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for FTJ FundChoice’s internal Sales Department. Michelle and her team strive to help advisors accomplish their strategic goals by offering unparalleled service and simplifying their business. Michelle oversees the onboarding of new Registered Investment Advisors and their Investment Advisor Representatives, and her team works to build and maintain relationships with current business partners. Michelle has over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, including the last six with FTJ FundChoice, and has attained her series 6, 7, and 63 securities licenses with FINRA.

Gregory J. Rawlins

Director of Operations

As the Director of Operations, Mr. Rawlins is responsible for leading the coordination of internal and external resources. For FTJ FundChoice, Gregory ensures operational areas consistently deliver unparalleled service. He oversees many facets of the company, including advisor service delivery, transaction execution and process management. Before joining FTJ FundChoice in 2012, Gregory spent 13 years leading teams in the financial services industry across diverse organizations, from proprietary fund companies to large global banks.  

Chad Frommeyer

Director of Information Technology

Mr. Frommeyer is the Director of Information Technology at FTJ FundChoice.  He maintains responsibilities over the software development team and infrastructure.  Chad has over 20 years of experience in software development across various industries, including finance.  The past 7 years have been spent with FTJ FundChoice growing the technology to provide world-class applications and systems. Chad graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Computer Science.  

Catherine Koop, SPHR

Director of Human Resources

With over 17 years of experience, Mrs. Koop brings expertise to every aspect of the company’s employment experience – from recruiting and onboarding to benefits, employee development and employee engagement.  She works closely with leadership to ensure talent development aligns with the company’s strategic goals.  Catherine is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University where she studied Business Management with a focus on Organizational Behavior.  She is currently a member of SHRM (Society of Human Resources Management) and a member of the SHRM local chapter Greater Cincinnati Human Resources Association.

Joe Wethington

Director of Trading and Business Development

As Director of Trading and Business Development of FTJ FundChoice, Joe oversees all aspects of the trade generation and execution processes.  Joe is focused on helping provide advisors an efficient and scalable means of executing their investment strategy whether that strategy is focused on a single client, or across their client base through our model management capabilities.  Joe has over 15 years of experience in the Financial Services industry including the last 8 with FTJ FundChoice.

2001

Since our founding in 2001, FTJ FundChoice has strived to provide advisors with sophisticated investment solutions.  At the time of establishment our client base included 10,000 accounts with a total of $100 million in assets under administration.

2013

FTJ FundChoice launched an ETF Strategist Program, which is now included in the Market Movement Strategies program.

2015

FTJ FundChoice launched the Market Movement Strategies program, which allows advisors the ability to leverage multiple investment strategies in a single account.
